After my university degree as a chemist at the University of Basel I started my professional careerin 1998 at Paul-Scherrer-Institut (PSI) in the group "preparative actinide chemistry".

among other things, I wrote my dissertation (as a joint venture with ETH Zurich and the CEA Cadarachein the field ofinert matrix nitride fuels .

Then I have 
worked one year on behalf of the Paul-Scherrer-Institut (PSI)  at the OECD Halden Reactor Project (HRP)in Halden (Norway) performing data processingThere I was responsible as Swiss Secondee for two inert matrix fuel (IMF) rigs and one U-Gd rig.

As of March 2005, I worked as an assistant of the business unit "Thermal Production Switzerland" of  Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity (Atel). My duties here were manifold. From the small everyday tasks such as creating presentations, knowledgeacquisition, association and committee activities, manage small projects up to a sub-project in a newbuild project. From 01.01.2010 Atel operates under the new name of Alpiq LtdI myself was employed as technical assitant by Alpiq Suisse SA atthe business unit "Nuclear and Thermal Production".

At the end of 2010, I returned to the Paul-Scherrer-Institut (PSI) and became the commissioner for the quality management system and project manager for industrial service projects in the department Hot-Laboratory (AHL). On March 1, 2014, I got head of isotope and element analysis group of Hot-Laboratory. After the restructuring of the department, I became the operational manager and deputy head of the department as well as plant manager of the Hotlab since 01 January 2016.

As of January 1, 2017, I will be in charge of the department and the plant Hotlabor.

In addition to the job I'm strongly involved in national and international associations since years .

Since 2003, I was active as Vice-Chair in the bord of Young Generation (YG) group of Swiss Nuclear Society (SNS), as Chair from 2007 till 2009 when I retired from Young Generation. Between 2005 and 2008 I was delegated from SNS YG to the Core Committee Meeting of the European Nuclear Society Young Generation Network (ENS YGN). During organisation of the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) in 2008 I was in the periode 2006-2008 General Co-Chair of IYNC-2008.

Since 2007 I am member of the board of directors of the Swiss Nuclear Society (SNS), with the position as Vice-president in between 2010 and 2013. At the general assembly 2013 I was elected as President.

Moreover, I am a founding curator of the Foundation for Energy and Climate Protection Baden-Württemberg of EnBW.

End of 2008 I was elected in the board of directors of the 
European Nuclear Society (ENS), in the periode 2009-2011 as Vicepresident. End of 2011, I was elected by the general assembly as President for the period 2012/2013.
